Day 15 – an invitation

6 Sep

An invitation from a dreamer to my soul, that met me where I’m at tonight.

“It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing…. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive…. I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain. I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it…. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself.” (From The Invitation by Oriah Mountain Dreamer)

Hey Clav, great to hear from you! yeah, I love this quite. There is just so much to it. I’m doing well, hope you are too! we still need to meet up when I’m back on the mainland… I’ll let you know when that is next.

Love this Jamie…I hope you don’t mind if I abscond it as my own from now on. It is an affirmation of what you and I were talking about the other day of dreaming and turning those dreams into actions.

You are definitely on the road to something new and exciting…and right now only God knows what he has in store for you. You just have to sit tight and wait for him to reveal his will to you. What an exciting time of anticipation; really, anything is possible with God and he will reward your faithfulness and your desire to seek and follow him with a life that enriches you and people around you.

    Keep dreaming JamesRoberto. xo

Abscond away (yep, I definitely had to look up that word), I know I am :) Thanks for the encouragement AK. Most days I am excited by the possibilities and dreams… most days. Oh to have a tiny glimpse into the plan (hence the inspiration for the following day’s post).

………the most difficult thing in the walk with Jesus is exactly what you shared in this blog. Are we willing to forgo all, including misunderstandings. There are times the journey takes us thru’ lush green forests and then times where there are blackberry bushes snagging our clothing and times of stumbling along a rock strewn trail but thru’ it all – if we keep our eyes on Jesus- we will know that He is there beside us all they way……love you
