the road to my soul

17 Apr

Back in October, 2009, I started to feel this stirring inside me. A craving for something new. A yearning for adventure. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it at the moment, but a friend encouraged me saying that this stirring was placed on my heart from the Lord and that I should explore it more to see what God is trying to tell/show me from this. So instead of fighting it, I just let the feeling be and started exploring what it could mean. And what did I discover? Well I’m still trying to figure that out entirely, but I believe that it has to do with the open road,  transformation and God completing a work in me that He started over a year ago.

So I am hitting the road to hang out with God and do some serious soul searching. Leaving from home in Chilliwack on June 7th in my sweet Dodge Neon with my sister Jess, the plan is to make my way down the West Coast, up and over to the Grand Canyon, over to New Mexico through to Oklahoma, across all the Southern states, up to South & North Carolina, over to Kentucky and Tennessee and then on a sort of on a diagonal back home. I have travel buddies and plans for the West Coast and Grand Canyon legs of the trip, but I am looking for a few people to join me for all or various points of the trip. And I’m also looking for suggestions of cool places to visit and people to stay with along the way. I will earn my keep, but the fact of the matter is that I don’t have the cash to stay in hotels the whole time, nor do I want to. I want to meet new people, see and do new things and get outside of my comfort zone.

If you have suggestions or a possible connection, etc… leave a comment or send me an email:

I can’t wait to embark on this adventure! I hope you follow me along the way!

I am SO proud of you! I know that God has HUGE things for you on this journey. While we might not all be there with you physically during your travels you will be covered in prayer and smothered in love form afar. You are SO loved! Bless you my sweet girl! Can’t wait to “chase” you all the way!

I am also hitting the road for a bit of enjoyment and finding myself. I have to admit my motivations and plans are a whole lot less wholesome than yours, but the result is the same. We may not share the idea of gods, but the spirit of the thing can be the same!

Wishing you luck on yours, while planning my own!
